From September 1, 2022, charging your electric car will cost significantly more. The Allegro electric car charging station network announces price increases almost everywhere in Europe from September 1, 2022 – with Denmark and Sweden still enjoying a bit of a reprieve.
Allegro had already raised its prices a few months ago, but the war in Ukraine and its consequences on the cost of energy are forcing the group to restore its financial equilibrium. In France, it will therefore be necessary to count 10 centimes more (50 centimes) on alternating current charging stations up to 22 kWh.

On intermediate direct current fast charging stations (up to 50 kWh), we go to 69 cents per kWh against 55 cents currently. Finally, on the ultra-fast direct current charging stations (50+ kWh) it will now be necessary to count 79 cents per kWh against 65 cents.
Allegro launched its network of charging stations in France at the start of 2022. At first there were only a handful of stations in France, but the development of the Dutch firm is accelerating in France. In 2022 Allegro operates some 30,000 charging stations in Europe.
In particular, the group has partnered with the Géant Casino brands to offer terminals in car parks. The firm has signed a similar partnership with Carrefour – and since January has started to equip motorway service stations and reception areas.
The latest partnership forged by Allegro concerns the Bertrand group, which owns several restaurant chains. Enough to install even more charging stations in restaurant car parks. It should also be noted, in passing, that the prices noted by customers on Allegro terminals installed as part of these partnerships may differ from the announced increase.

Of course, the increases announced by Allegro do not concern competing charging networks. In France, owners of electric cars can indeed count on the network of Tesla Superchargers, but also terminals installed by TotalEnergies, Ionity or Fastned.
