Elon Musk reacted Monday on Twitter to the revelations of the Wall Street Journal exposed in the rest of this article. The latter called the American daily’s investigation “total bullshit” (“total bs” in the original English tweet) – before adding “Sergey and I are friends and we were even at a party together the night last! I have only seen Nicole twice in three years, each time in the company of many other people. Nothing romantic.”
The Wall Street Journal has just made a sensational revelation on Sunday July 24, 2022 about Elon Musk and Google co-founder Sergei Brin. In January 2022, Sergeï Brin filed for divorce from his wife Nicole Shanahan, to whom he had been married since 2018. The story had then made few waves, the entrepreneur being generally very discreet about his private life.
The Wall Street Journal reveals in an article behind the scenes of the affair, as well as the fact that the story would have broken the friendship between Sergei Brin and Elon Musk who were for a long time described as very close. Around December 2021, Sergeï Brin and Nicole Shanahan lived apart, but were still officially married – it was during this period that the boss of Tesla would have had an affair with Nicole Shanahan.
The friendship between Elon Musk and Sergeï Brin would not have survived it
Later at a party, reports the Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk would have apologized strongly to Sergei Brin, but the two have not spoken on a regular basis since. The friendship between Elon Musk and Sergei Brin goes back years. The entrepreneur is even reported to have slept regularly at the Google co-founder’s home in Silicon Valley. Sergeï Brin also made a $500,000 investment at the height of the 2008 crisis, as Tesla tried to solve production problems.
This new story will in any case not restore the image of the boss of SpaceX whose escapades and other inappropriate interventions on Twitter are starting to annoy among his oldest supporters. Especially since the soap opera of the takeover of Twitter followed by difficulties for Tesla, the credibility of the entrepreneur threatens more and more to be called into question again.

Elon Musk had already shown himself last May in a sex scandal that he himself chose to deride, on Twitter, by calling the story “Elongate” – a pun between his first name, the suffix “Gate” as for the Watergate scandal, and the sexual connotation attached to the word elongate in English. In this case, it was an allegation that SpaceX had “bought” the silence of an employee, after the contractor showed her his erect penis during what was originally to be a simple massage.
