If you waited for the iPhone 14 to change your smartphone, the prices expected in France are likely to cool more than one. According to our colleagues from iPhon.fr, the new range of Pommé smartphones should display much higher prices than last year.
According to the media source (who got his hands on confidential documents), the new iPhone 14 would be sold on average nearly 120 euros more expensive than the previous generation. A rise which, it is assumed, will be justified by the geopolitical situation, the health crisis, shortages of components, rising freight, world-level inflation, rising raw materials, etc. This year, it will therefore be impossible to find a new generation iPhone for less than 1000 euros. The source of iPhon.fr confirms in passing the abandonment of the mini format in favor of a Max format for the iPhone 14.

iPhone 14: big price increase, small technical changes?
Apple did not hide it. Just after the iPhone XS, Tim Cook said that the complete overhaul of the line would only happen every three generations. If the accounts are good, the iPhone 14 should not mark a big upheaval compared to the iPhone 13. According to rumors, the new models would resume the design of the old but would be subject to some adjustments.
The chassis would be larger to accommodate the new, less wide, pill-shaped Face ID. This small additional thickness would also make it possible to integrate a larger battery and therefore to improve the autonomy (again). Finally, it would also reduce the protrusion of the photo optics.
On the photo side, precisely, Apple would bring a dramatic change to his telephoto lens. The title of the keynote is also “Far out” which can be translated as “Very far”. A clue ?
The major change would therefore remain the upheaval of the range itself with the disappearance of the iPhone in mini format in favor of a Max. Many analysts had already mentioned the low sales of the iPhone mini which would have found only a limited audience. It remains to be seen now if these rumors are confirmed during this Wednesday’s keynote, to be followed of course on Presse-citron.
