You will probably have noticed that HBO recently started broadcasting the first episodes of its new series House of the Dragon. We remind you that this is a prequel to Game of Thrones, the events of which take place no less than 170 years before those related in the famous series, focusing here on the Dance of the Dragons, a war which caused the fall of House Targaryen.

House of the Dragon in the footsteps of Game of Thrones?

A new series eagerly awaited by fans of the Game of Thrones universe, as evidenced recently by the audiences for the first episode on HBO Max. On the IMDb side, House of the Dragon is currently the most popular series in the world. In any case, this is what emerges from data from IMDbPro, which ranks titles each week according to the pages viewed by the platform’s more than 200 million monthly visitors.

The latter indicates that actress Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) is also the most popular star in the world today. Even better, among the ten most searched artists on IMDb, seven are in the cast of House of the Dragon.

On the side of home Rotten Tomatoes, we continue to appreciate the quality of House of the Dragon, the series posting a score of 83% on the critics’ side. The opinions of the spectators are even more positive, since the series collects an average of 85%, with a little more than 1,700 opinions shared.

A success that has already convinced the producers of the series to formalize the upcoming arrival of a season 2 of House of the Dragon. Something that Netflix’s Resident Evil series, launched last July, will never know, and which has already been canceled…
