Star of WWDC 2022, the new MacBook Air M2 has just obtained a marketing date. Apple has published on its website the opening date for pre-orders and first deliveries of his computer equipped with his most powerful chip. In the catalog, the new MacBook Air 2022 will be the most accessible device equipped with an M2 chip – alongside the MacBook Pro 13 M2.

To be able to buy the MacBook Air M2 2022, you will have to go to the Apple site on July 8 for the opening of pre-orders. The precise time for the launch of pre-orders is set at 2 p.m. (French time). If you choose to pre-order the device, then you will be eligible for a delivery from July 15.

In addition to its new processor, the MacBook Air M2 will be an opportunity to equip itself with a device with a notch in the front. Developed under the new macOS Ventura (13th version of the OS), the MacBook Air M2 can be updated by October 2022 (or during the summer in beta version). The MacBook Air M2 recovers a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina screen and a thickness never seen on a MacBook (11.3 mm).

For pre-orders of the MacBook Air M2, Apple offers four colors to choose from. Among them are Midnight, Starlight, Space Grey, and Silver finishes. All are equipped with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, an aluminum structure and a MagSafe port for charging. Thanks to technological developments, customers will be able to enjoy a screen with up to 500 nits of brightness, or 25% more than on the previous generation.

Note that as an option, it will be possible to equip yourself with a 67W ultra-fast charger to be able to recover 50% of the battery capacity in the space of 30 minutes. As for the price of the MacBook Air M2, it is 1499 € in basic configuration. The old MacBook Air M1 is still available for sale, but its price has increased by 124 euros since the presentation of the new model – to 1199 €.
