A few months ago we had the opportunity to test the game for many hours. From the beta phase, we felt that the title had a good chance of competing with the eternal Smash Bros. and even, why not, to surpass it. Obviously, we were not mistaken. Since its release, praise has continued to multiply for this atypical fighting game, accessible to all, available on a multitude of media and above all: for free.

In order not to lower the hype, Player First Games (the developers of the title) do not intend to drop their game anytime soon. Many seasons are expected to continuously bring new things to the game. At the game’s launch on July 26, 2022, MultiVersus offered a total of 17 playable characters. Of course, each of the heroes is drawn from the Warner Bros. universes. Here is the list of the starting roaster:

MultiVersus: list of seasons

Available on PC and consoles since July 26, 2022, MultiVersus is already ready to receive its first free update, synonymous with the launch of the game’s first season. Expected for August 9, season 1 was postponed for a few days to let a little more time for the developers to refine the latter. On the other hand, we already know its content (at least, in large part). In the meantime, here is our opinion on MultiVersus.

Season 01: Rick & Morty: August 2022

The first season is expected to arrive after August 15. The latter will therefore have the theme Rick & Morty with the two mythical characters who will integrate the roaster of the fighters. But that’s not all, in addition to the two characters, you will also have a lot of new things including:

The arrival of the “Classic” arcade mode (no more information for the moment)
A new ranked mode (no more information yet)
New cosmetics with new icons
New alternative outfits
New banners for your profile

This season 01 was scheduled for August 09, but Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games have promised to reveal the new date very soon! And we shouldn’t wait too long. Season 01 should be launched in mid-August (or end of August). In the meantime, the pre-season battle pass has been extended until August 15, 2022.
