Monabanq is one of the online banks that consistently comes up when talking about the elite. The subsidiary of the Crédit Mutuel group is very popular with an offer that differs quite clearly from its rivals Boursorama Banque, Hello bank! or BforBank. Indeed, the four offers of the establishment are paying, but they bring a lot of consequent advantages.
To get the new school year off to a good start, Monabanq has decided to offer to its new customers a premium that rises to 120 euros. This is the most generous premium on the market and it makes the online banking offer even more aggressive. Despite its cost, Monabanq saves almost 200 euros per year compared to a traditional bank.

Until Monday, Monabanq was content to offer 80 euros to its new customers. You have an additional reason to subscribe since this bonus now amounts to 120 euros. To take advantage of it, you will have to meet certain conditions that we detail below. You can also find them directly on the online banking site.
Which account to choose at Monabanq?
In its range, the online bank currently offers three bank cards. Each is associated with the same current account: Pratiq+, Uniq and Uniq+. While the Pratiq version is intended for standard banking use, the Uniq formulas are geared towards a traveler clientele. By default, all customers receive a Visa Classic card. As an option, Visa Premier and Platinum are available.
In the majority of cases, new customers will subscribe to the Pratiq+ offer. The latter is available for 3 euros per month and gives access to all day-to-day banking services. Your Visa Classic card allows you to make unlimited payments and withdrawals anywhere in the euro zone, free of charge. Outside this zone, 3 withdrawals are included but payments will be charged (2% of the transaction). If you travel regularly outside the euro zone, it will therefore be better to leave on a Uniq formula.
A real advantage put forward by Monabanq is the possibility of making cash deposits in the network of Crédit Mutuel and CIC ATMs. While most online banks no longer allow you to fund your account with cash (except Hello bank! and Monabanq), this is a real advantage. For example, Boursorama Banque only allows you to credit money to your account by bank transfer or check (to be sent at your expense).

The range of accounts © Monabanq
Monabanq’s success is directly linked to the fact that it is the “online” bank that has the most similarities with a traditional bank. It has this physical dimension with the distributors of Crédit Mutuel / CIC but above all it has the best customer service on the market. For 5 years, the online bank has been “Elected customer service of the year” in its category. If you’re keen to switch to online banking but need reassurance, this will be a great choice.
In terms of fees, the standard Pratiq+ account is available for 3 euros per month. Over a year, this will therefore cost you 36 euros, which remains significantly lower than the national average for bank charges, which is 215 euros per year. And for this amount, you of course have access to all of Monabanq’s banking products: current account, loans, savings, stock market, etc.

How to get the bonus of 120 euros?
If you have read our opinion on Monabanq, the latter is regularly positioned as the most generous online bank in France. This is currently the case: you can get 120 euros for a first account opening. This sum is broken down into two parts:
- A first prime up to 80 euros will be offered to you on condition that you show regular activity. For this, it is necessary to carry out a minimum of 10 debit transactions per month to receive a bonus of 10 euros. Multiplied by 8 months, this will give you a potential of 80 euros over this first period. If you use your account in a traditional way (like a main bank account), there will be no problem to achieve this.
- A second bonus of 40 euros will be paid for subscription to a Visa Premier or Platinum card. By default, you will receive a Visa Classic card. You can upgrade to a Visa Premier for 3 euros per month, or to a Visa Platinum for 9 euros. The premium will offset this cost over several months.
Beyond this advantage at the time of subscription, the real savings will be made over time. Compared to a traditional bank, you can save almost 200 euros on your bank charges per year. Over several years, this amount can be colossal. While online banks like Monabanq now have an offer equivalent to network banks, the French public no longer hesitates to take the plunge.
