After the incredible success of the games South Park: The Stick of Truth (2013) and South Park: The Anal of Destiny (2017), THQ Nordiq has just announced the development of a third game. A confirmation that many fans were waiting. Unfortunately, this new game is going to bring a lot of changes that may not be to everyone’s liking.
South Park returns to video games

For more than 25 years, South Park has been surfing on an undeniable success with its series which parodies our society (even if sometimes, there is not even any need to parody our world is so absurd). Currently, the series has 317 episodes and 25 seasons. Five new seasons have already been signed with Comedy Central, ensuring Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the creators of the series) to reach 30 seasons.
Of course, South Park is not just an animated series. In 25 years, we have had the right to a film and several video game adaptations. If the latter have not always lived up to the series, we have had the right to a few nuggets like the two games from Ubisoft (the stick of truth and the anal of destiny).

At the end of its showcase, broadcast this week, THQ Nordiq announces that 26 unannounced games are in development. Before seeing a South Park Digital Studios logo appear with the voice of Randy Marsh, Stan’s father, shouting “hot hot hot hot hot hot hot”. A new message then appears stating that there are now 25 unannounced games that are in development.
A few hours after the conference, we learned that this new game should not be developed by Ubisoft. Besides, it shouldn’t be an RPG game, but a cooperative and/or multiplayer 3D action game. For now, we’ll have to make do with that.
