We are approaching the month of September. Month during which the Cupertino company publishes its new range of smartphones, the iPhone. For this year 2022, everyone is impatiently awaiting the imminent arrival of the iPhone 14. Rumors are flying everywhere about this device, which is supposed to bring a major evolution and a new design. And speaking of design, we have detected a new burst of photos revealing the famous smartphone and its iterations. What does Apple have in store for us on its next smartphone? We take stock.

The iPhone 14 in a nutshell

According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 14 will probably arrive around September 2022 . Most people think of a “revamped” version of Apple’s current iPhone lineup. Except that, for this time, we forget the mini iteration. The Cupertino company does not plan an iPhone 14 Mini for September, because it considers it a “commercial failure”.

We are therefore left with the classic, Pro and Pro Max versions. For our part, we reveal the four iterations thanks to these few new photos. They come to us from Sonny Dickson , an Apple backer and scoop regular. Here we have an overview of the entire iPhone 14 lineup, with 4 alleged prototypes.

Finally, the smartphone has a screen of the same size as that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The difference is on the back of the smartphone. Apple removes one of the sensors from the camera, as well as the famous LiDAR. The goal: to make it a large screen device, but with a much more affordable price .

Of course, these prototypes are not working devices. For now, these are just simple frames. Their origin remains unknown for the moment. They may be illegally mined from the iPhone factory in Shanghai. Or again, these are probably templates to send to case makers. This is to prepare for the next big iPhone 14 launch.

Models available…for now

The leaker shows us two colorways of four prototypes in his set of photos and a video. At first glance, these are the famous iPhone 14, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The latest iteration is something new: it looks like an iPhone 14, but with the same size as the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Could it be the iPhone 14 Max? Mystery.

As of now, Dickinson’s photos and video reveal no official context. But if these prove to be correct, we will have a smartphone with the design and ergonomics of the iPhone 13. We will also have a smartphone with an accessible price-performance ratio compared to its predecessors.

However, remember one thing: it is not because these photos exist that they are official models of the next Apple smartphone. Dickinson can also be wrong in his predictions. They may just be old samples of designs discontinued by Apple. Or even models of smartphones built by someone other than Apple, who knows?
