Steelrising immerses you in the heart of the French Revolution, in an alternate reality. In the gaming world, the revolution has not come to an end. King Louis XVI commanded an army of automatons which served the king to stop the revolution. The player controls Aegis, a female automaton and bodyguard of Queen Marie-Antoinette who fled Paris to escape the violence. Alas, far from the capital, the queen has no more news of her children and is worried about their safety. The queen wants Aegis to find its creator in order to put an end to the massacres of the robot army of the tyrannical king Louis XVI.
