A few days before the official presentation of the iPhone 14 series, we already know a lot about this new generation. Indeed, despite Apple’s efforts to keep its secrets, there have already been many leaks about the 4 devices that it should present on September 7: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
If this information is not yet official, it has nevertheless allowed imitators to create models that should look like future iPhones. In addition, according to an article published this week by our colleagues from MacRumours, smartphones with designs imitating those of future iPhones are currently already marketed in China.
Clones based on rumors that have been circulating for several months
The media also relayed a video from the YouTube channel “Amazing Unboxing” in which it unboxes two clones of the future iPhone 14 Pro Max. As you will see in the video, the manufacturers of these smartphones have been very attentive to rumors about the design of the future iPhone 14 Pro Max. For example, the chassis and back are more or less identical to those of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but with a slightly larger camera module. And on the front, the iPhone 14 Pro Max should say goodbye to the notch in favor of a combination of a bubble and a pill that form an exclamation point.
Moreover, even the box seems to want to mislead.
According to the explanations of MacRumours, it would seem that these clones use a version of Android which has been extremely customized so that it looks like iOS. But under no circumstances will they be able to replicate the iPhone experience. It is also likely that these devices are using an older version of Android.
Regarding the design, the site mentions elements showing that it is not an iPhone, such as the thickness of the lower border, or the possible existence of fake photo sensors on the back.
In any case, the fact that clones are on sale would be an indicator of the confidence of the manufacturers of these devices who based the design on rumors about the iPhone 14 series.
Otherwise, we remind you that in addition to the new iPhones, Apple could also present the new generation of Apple Watches during its September 7 keynote. According to unofficial sources, Apple could unveil the Apple Watch 8, a new affordable Apple Watch SE, as well as a more premium version aimed at athletes, with a screen that could be larger and a battery that could be bigger.
In addition, another event would be planned for the month of October, for the presentation of new Macs and new iPads.
