To date, no less than 19 Star Wars projects are in production between video games (8 projects), series (7 projects) and films (4 projects). Alas, the Force isn’t very strong right now on Disney’s plans. At least two games are said to be in trouble (with Star Wars Eclipse and the Star Wars remake KOTOR). On the side of the films, it is worse, since the four projects would be threatened and could never see the light of day.
Star Wars: the end of the saga at the cinema?

After an incredible Rogue One—A Star Wars Story in 2016, the Star Wars films experienced a rather critical descent into hell. The end of the Skywalker saga is far from having satisfied all the fans. The spin-off Solo — A Star Wars Story did not convince to the point where Disney canceled several film projects to take its time.
Recently, four projects have been announced with Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, which should normally focus on the story of a new generation of fighter pilots. But also with films by Taika Waititi (to whom we owe the productions Thor: Ragnarok & Thor: Love and Thunder). But according to the latest rumors, which we owe to Giant Freakin Robot, things are off to a bad start.
In July, Taika Waititi was a little evasive on the subject. He confided that he was still writing the script. “I’m still trying to find ideas and I’m mostly in this part of the process where it’s still very open,” he said. Adding, “I’m still trying to figure out what the story is. I am able to bring my tone”.
According to Giant Freakin Robot, the reality is a little more delicate since the project would simply be stopped. This doesn’t mean anything good, since it could mean that the Star Wars movies could be transferred to another producer’s hands, undergo numerous rewrites, or even be canceled.
Bad news also for Star Wars: Rogue Squadron since this project would also be stopped for a while. It therefore does not seem very good for the return of the saga to the cinema. Fans will have to console themselves with the series that are linked on Disney + with in particular the arrival of Andor at the end of the month!
