If you have been with an internet service provider (ISP) for years, it is almost mandatory that your internet bill exceed 40 euros per month. However, there are solutions for pay significantly less without neglecting the quality. For the start of the school year, Bouygues Telecom offers us an extraordinary discount on its internet box with fiber.
Bouygues Telecom is the ultimate in comfort for internet boxes and mobiles. However, it is not necessarily the most expensive – especially if you fall at the right time. Back to school is the perfect time to save money. Sold 30.99 euros by default, its Bbox Fit drops below the fateful bar of 10 euros per month.
I take advantage of the Bbox Fit
The Bbox Fit is the most popular internet box in the range. It is the one that includes just the bare minimum that is expected of such a product: a fiber connection with a very good speed (400 Mb/s for uploading and downloading). With this speed, you can be with several Wi-Fi in your home without the connection slowing down. Even watching Netflix on multiple devices simultaneously, you won’t have a problem.
This internet box also comes with a small telephony part. With your box, you will therefore have an assigned telephone number which will also allow you to make unlimited calls to all landlines in France and 110 destinations (this is not the case for mobiles).
This Bouygues Telecom Bbox Fit only costs 9.99 euros per month, so don’t expect triple play. If you want an internet + TV formula, then you will have to turn to one of the two more premium versions of the ISP: Must or Ultym.
Two really cheap Bboxes
If you only want good Wi-Fi, the Bbox Fit will be sufficient. The speed is excellent and you have all the comfort of a Bouygues Telecom (customer support, subscription management). If you absolutely need the TV part, you will have to switch to a higher-end internet box. The most affordable is the Bbox Must.
The latter also benefits from a mini price for the start of the school year: 15.99 euros per month. For this rate, you have a higher fiber speed (1 Gb / s download and 700 Mb / s upload), all unlimited calls (both landlines and mobiles) and the TV part. This is broken down into a 4K decoder but also 180 TV channels. To give you a point of comparison, this internet box normally costs 40.99 euros per month.
I take advantage of the Bbox Must
Whether it’s the first or the second, Bouygues Telecom also offers you its “guaranteed internet from day one” commitment with the sending of a 4G key without waiting. If you are afraid of not having internet for a few days, the ISP will reassure you. Moreover, when you subscribe to him, you have the comfort of not having to deal with the termination: he is the one who takes care of it. It also covers up to 100 euros for any cancellation fees.
In the end, the Bbox Fit will only cost you 120 euros in the first year, and the Bbox Must 190 euros. Clearly, Bouygues Telecom asks you for a small consideration in a very legitimate way: you will have to commit to at least 12 months to be entitled to these rates. This is good since you will only be engaged for the time of the reduced price. Then, you will have the choice to cancel your subscription if you do not accept an increase.
Bouygues Telecom, a secure FA
Bouygues Telecom has not accustomed us to such low rates. It must be said that the FAI is known above all for its high-end and comfortable offer: you can either manage it on the internet or in a shop. You have the possibility of obtaining immediate assistance throughout its network of 600 stores in France. And their customer support by phone is excellent and responsive, it’s a real comfort to deal with them (lived experience).
For the start of the school year, the ISP bent over backwards to boost sales of its internet boxes. Neither SFR, nor Orange, nor even Free have aligned themselves with their prices. If you want to save money on your internet connection, you won’t find better. Bouygues Telecom has also currently displayed the best price on its internet subscriptions for the last 5 years. By taking this offer, you are therefore guaranteed to get a good deal.
However, you will have to rush to take advantage of it: it should stop any day now. Right now and for a few more days, Bouygues Telecom is adding a Mi Smart Speaker from Xiaomi to its Bbox Must. The latter can be controlled by voice, on the same principle as an Echo Dot or an Alexa Assistant. It’s the icing on the cake, the ISP just announced it a few hours ago.
